CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Pulsed Laser Deposition
Laser setup procedure and vacuum system handling. Performed studies on deposition conditions for thin films of oxides, nitrides, bio-materials and superstructures. Acquired knowledge of laser-plasma-surface interactions and characterization techniques (XRD, TEM, SEM, AFM).

Single-crystal fibers
Acquired knowledge of advanced ceramic materials manufacturing. Performed studies of fiber sintering and crystallization conditions on unique laser-assisted image furnace facility.

Inertial Confinement Fusion
Performed charged-particle spectroscopy studies of inertial confinement fusion products using CR-39 track detectors. Acquired knowledge of specific fusion reactions. Familiarized with specific work security procedures.
