Details:
As a neuropathologist, I wrote and photographed almost the entire material of the first Romanian Atlas of Surgical Pathology of the Brain, realized in collaboration with Professor Danaila, famous neurosurgeon in our country and abroad, and Dr. Carp, consultant neuropathologist with more than 40 years of experience. The first (Romanian) edition was published in 2000 and the second, American edition, in 2002 (Moonfall Press, VA).I wrote all by myself the first modern Neuropathology Textbook in our country, since the 50's, a book destined mainly to residents in Neurosurgery, Neurology and Pathology (Didactic and Pedagogic Publishing House, Bucharest, 2002). I also published a textbook regarding the surgical pathology of the brain as electronic edition (Tumors of the nervous system, ETNA Publishing House, Bucharest, 2002).My special areas of interest are vascular, tumoral and degenerative pathologies of the nervous system. At prezent, I am working on a textbook concerning the vascular pathology of the brain. In 2003, I had a nine months NATO fellowship in France, for the study of neuropathologic pathology, at Pitie - Salpetriere Hospital, in Paris, France.
