Composite and nanocomposite materials.
Polymer alloys and compounds.
Polymeric additives for mineral oils.
Structure-properties relationships for polymers.
Chemical modification of polymers.
Modelling of polymerization processes and of polymerization reactors.
Polymer degradation and stabilization.
Polymer characterization by:
- dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), glass transition temperature, complex modulus and crosslink density determination;
- mechanical determinations: stretching (stress-strain curves, Mooney-Rivlin curves, yielding, ultimate properties: tensile strength, elongation at break, set at break), hardness;
- IR, RMN and UV-VIS spectroscopy;
